Schneider Commits to Delaware
Mission congratulates senior forward Kyla Schneider on her commitment to the University of Delaware.
Kyla started playing hockey at 3 years old. She learned her love for the game from her dad and brothers. She is in her 3rd year at the Mission.
Kyla has found great successes on and off the ice, including gold honor roll status for all 4 years of high school. She has also won two State Championships and served as a captain at the Chicago Mission.
Reflecting on her youth hockey career, Kyla said “While my time at the Mission has been short, I have made some of the best memories of my youth career. I have created friendships and relationships to last a lifetime. Playing at the Mission has taught me life skills, what it means to work hard, and has shaped me into the person and player I am today. The Mission has given me my best friends, mentors, and a place to call home.
I will forever be thankful to have been able to wear the Mission Green these past 3 years”.
About Delaware “I chose the University of Delaware because of the coaching staff, business school and the opportunity to help build up a new hockey program!” Kyla has interest in both business and physical therapy.
Lastly, she wanted to thank her family, coaches, trainers, and friends for supporting her the whole way.
