Pan Commits to Amherst

Chicago Mission congratulates senior defenseman Genna Pan on her commitment to Amherst College.

Genna began playing hockey at age 5 and has played at the Mission for 7 seasons. Her top hockey memory is her Mission team winning the 2021 National Championship. Her accomplishments include straight A’s throughout high school, as well as earning leadership roles at the Chicago Mission.

When reflecting on her time at the Mission Genna said, “Mission has shaped me into the person I am today. Throughout these last 7 years, I have had many ups and downs. However, my teammates, coaches, and the Mission program have always supported me. The Chicago Mission has taught me a lot about teamwork, camaraderie, and perseverance”.

Genna intends to major in Economics at Amherst and pursue a career in finance or business. She said, ” Amherst has everything I am looking for in a college. From the strong academics to the culture of the hockey team, Amherst is a place I can see myself both thriving and making the most of my potential.”

Congrats to the Pan family!
