Mission Girls 19U Gratzl Committs to Brown
Mission congratulates senior defenseman Isabella Gratzl on her commitment to Brown University.
Isabella was 5 years old when she began playing hockey. She is an elite skater with a deep understanding of the game. A player who practices every shift at game speed. Gratzl has a long list of accomplishments both on and off the ice. She said “I’ve made countless memories playing hockey throughout my life and my absolute favorite thing is the friendships I’ve made. My favorite Mission memories include the times spent with friends/teammates on travel weekends, ‘doing homework’ in the hotel lobby (or basement—thanks, Casa Blanca), fun times at off-ice and practice, and the random outings along the way”. About Brown she said “Brown checks all the boxes for me. I wanted a school that offers excellence in academics and a great women’s hockey program, in an environment that felt inspiring, supportive and aligned with my values. Brown’s beautiful campus, facilities, and academic program, especially with its Open Curriculum, aligns well with these hopes allowing me to pursue my many interests. Starting with the amazing coaching staff, Brown’s hockey program offers me a chance to thrive as an athlete and to continue to play the sport I love”. Bella plans on studying mechanical engineering at Brown.
