Maddie Madden Commits to St. Norbert

Mission congratulates senior forward Maddie Madden on her commitment to St Norbert.

Maddie began playing the game at 5 years old.
She says her best hockey memory was going to Irvine, CA for Nationals in 2019, as well as every travel weekend with her team. The memories that she has made on tournaments are definitely unmatched.

“The Chicago Mission has impacted me on so many levels. From first making the team to now everyone has been like family to me and I have made so many life-long friends. A mission specific memory would have to be our skates over breaks when the alumni come back into town. Getting to see all the girls that have been successful upon graduating and play at a higher level has always been so cool to me and additionally seeing all past teammates that have graduated.”

Maddie’s accomplishments on and off the ice include 4 state championships. 3 trips to Nationals placing in the top 3 twice. And was named to the High School Hockey all state team last year, she is in NHS and has a 5.6 GPA. She has also earned the Trustee Distinguished Scholarship for St. Norbert where she plans to major in Biology with a pre-dental focus in hopes to become an orthodontist in the future.

When asked about her college decision, Maddie said “I chose St. Norbert because when I stepped on campus it felt like home to me. I love the smaller school feel and how welcoming everyone is to everyone.”

Congratulations to the Madden family!!
