Fu Commits to Amherst

Mission congratulates senior forward Natalie Fu on her commitment to Amherst College.

Natalie started playing hockey at 8. She has played 3 years at the Mission after moving from California. When asked about her hockey memories Natalie said “Playing at my first ever National tournament in a Mission jersey in 2021 was a special experience. While we didn’t end with the outcome we wanted, getting a chance to play on a team that was able to take down one of the heavy favorites in the quarter finals, and keep pushing through to a hard fought semifinal game was an experience I’ll never forget.” Also, “Every LiveBarn clip I have saved on my phone never fails to bring a smile to my face. The one random January when we decided to dress up as Adam Sandler for off ice, December Birthdays, Right Back Up; all these little memories add up and constantly remind me just how special the Mission is. This club will always hold a special place in my heart and the people I have met along the way will forever be in my life”

Natalie’s accomplishments on and off the ice include 2 State Championships and a 4.85 GPA.

Natalie chose Amherst because “I always knew I wanted to play hockey at an elite academic institution, and Amherst is just that. The people I have met are welcoming, which made it easy to make the ultimate decision to call Amherst my home for the next 4 years, Their consistent success and dominating performance this season only makes me more excited to join Coach Matthews and the program in the fall”

Congratulations to the Fu family!!
