CHAD GREEN Joins the Mission to Develop our Youngest Players

Chad Green has been named Director of Early Player Development for the Chicago Mission.

In this role, he will oversee selection, training, and development of players at the youngest levels, including Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, and Mite Hockey.

With his background as a Tier 2 Hockey Director, Chad understands the importance of building strong foundations from entry-level up.

A Chicagoland native, Chad excelled in hockey at Fenwick High School, earning All-State, All-Conference, and All-State Academic honors. He continued his playing career at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.

With over 25 years of coaching experience, Chad is a USA Hockey-certified Hockey Director and a Level 5 Master Coach. He has coached at all levels, from Learn to Skate to AAA, as well as high school, collegiate, and USA Hockey National Development Camps. In 2010, USA Hockey Magazine named him Coach of the Month, and he was honored as AHAI Youth Coach of the Year in 2017. Chad also has over eight years of scouting experience in the USHL, NAHL, and college. He currently serves on three AHAI committees: Coaching (CEP Instructor), Player Development (Coach & Evaluator), and the ADM Committee.
