Rachel Gorbatenko Commits to Wisconsin

Mission congratulates senior defenseman Rachel Gorbatenko on her commitment to the University of Wisconsin.

Rachel is a 7 year veteran with Chicago Mission. She is a powerful defenseman with a big shot. Rachel has a long list of hockey accomplishments. Topping the list is playing for Team USA u18’s and winning a USA Hockey National Championship with the Mission. “My top memory was winning Nationals first year 14s.

The Missions impact on me has been indescribable and can’t be put into words. The closest I can get is that it gave me a place to call my home away from home no matter where I am.

Rachel will join her sisters Nicole and Kelly in Madison. She chose the Badgers because of the strength of both their athletics and academics. Along with her desire to play with her sisters and have her family close enough to share in her experience.
Rachel plans on studying Biology and/or Psychology.
