Nicole Gorbatenko Commits to Wisconsin

Congratulations to senior forward Nicole Gorbatenko on her commitment to the University of Wisconsin.

Nicole is in her 7th year at the Mission, after beginning to play hockey at the age of 4. Nicole’s size and strength help make her an offensive force with the u19’s.  Her hockey highlights include multiple MVP honors, being the first female player to execute ‘The Michigan” at the USA Hockey National Championships, then going on to win the title of National Champions with her Mission teammates. Off the ice Nicole has earned a 3.7 GPA.  When asked about her Mission experience, Nicole said “Mission has taught me what it means to be an elite hockey player and athlete. It also shaped my character and taught me skills such as dedication, passion, teamwork, and commitment.  These are skills that I will use the rest of my life.”  About the Badger’s she said “I love that it’s close to home and will allow my family to be a part of my college hockey experience. It’s an elite hockey school and offers excellent academics, on a very pretty campus!   Also, I get to play hockey with my sisters!”  Nicole plans on studying Kinesiology or biochemistry at Wisconsin.

Congrats to the Gorbatenko family!!
