Kendall Coyne Schofield and Abbey Murphy Captured Gold

The Chicago Mission is celebrating an incredible Olympic achievement as Kendall Coyne Schofield and Abbey Murphy captured gold with Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Coyne Schofield is golden once again, earning her second Olympic gold medal and fourth Olympic medal overall as Team USA rallied to edge Canada, 2–1, on February 19 in Milan. Her leadership, speed, and relentless compete level once again helped power the United States on the world’s biggest stage.

Murphy, a 2020 Mission alum, added her name to an elite list by securing her first Olympic gold medal and second Olympic medal overall. Known for her energy and scoring touch, Murphy played a key role in Team USA’s championship run.

From their early days in Mission colors to Olympic glory, both athletes represent the dedication, development, and championship culture of the Chicago Mission program.
