Myers Commits to Delaware
The Chicago Mission congratulates senior forward Lily Myers on her commitment to Coach Allison Coomey and the University of Delaware.
Lily said “I began playing hockey at the age of eight, and over the past six years, I have had the privilege of being part of the Chicago Mission. Throughout my time with the program, I’ve been fortunate to attend the USA Hockey National Development Camp for three consecutive years, serve as an assistant captain during my 16U season, and earn honor roll status throughout all four years of high school. Looking ahead, I plan to major in business management in college.
The Mission organization has profoundly shaped who I am both on and off the ice. From the day I first made the team at age twelve, I immediately felt welcomed into a family. My experiences here have not only helped me grow as a hockey player, but also as a person. Some of my most treasured memories include competing at Nationals over the past four years and celebrating a State Championship during my 14U season.
I chose the University of Delaware because of its outstanding business school, the welcoming atmosphere of the campus, and the unique opportunity to contribute to their new Division I program. Everything about the university truly felt like the perfect fit for me.
I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support and guidance I have received from my Mission coaches, as well as my personal trainers, Scott Herbster and James Polster, who have consistently gone above and beyond. Most importantly, I want to thank my parents and my brother, Oakly, for always believing in me and dedicating countless hours to help me realize my dream of playing Division I hockey.”
