Congrats Anton!

New Recruit: Anton Sorensen

The Merritt Centennials are pleased to announce that they’ve committed to forward Anton Sorensen (02) of the Boston Jr. Bruins in the USPHL Premier league.

Sorensen, who hails from Wheaton, Illinois, stands at 5’10 and 170 pounds. The right handed shot got into 12 games with the Bruins at the USPHL level and tallied 2 goals and 5 assists along with only 2 penalty minutes. His previous years were spent with the Chicago Mission AAA program where he had 7 points in 14 games during the 2019-20 season as well as 5 assists in 4 games at the prestigious Macs Tournament.

Head Coach and GM Dave Chyzowski says that Sorensen is a player who thinks of his defensive responsibilities first.

“Anton is an extremely smart two way forward with a great sense of on ice awareness. He works hard, and plays on the right side of the puck all the time.”   MORE…
